Scotland, Stob Ban Buttress, Mammores, Grade I

Scotland, Stob Ban Buttress,

Mammores, Grade I

• Start by leaving lower falls car park and following the trail to the right of the parking

• heading straight up onto the shoulder that sits about the car park a short sharp start then onto more level ground

• keeping going and you will see the buttress on a clear day very prominently at the top end of the shoulder

• It's a little grassy and plenty of rock in winter makes some great work, I found myself squeeezing between a rock above and below at one point in some exposed ice covered area

• After this follow round to Stob ban left

• Retrace your steps to that junction and follow the ridge for some distance and serveral peaks before hitting Mullach nan Coireans larger cairn.

• To descend follow north east shoulder till you hit a fence where theirs a style at the top of a steep slope and the bottom.

• This will take you down through woods to track and go right on track to bring you back down to the car park.
