Is it free?
Yes. Participation in the listed veterans events is free. Some events are delivered by partner organisations, but there is no cost to attend unless clearly stated on the event page.
How do I join?
You can register through our partner organisation’s website or contact us directly using the links provided on the event page. We will then direct you to the correct organiser.
Do I need previous experience?
No. Some events are suitable for complete beginners, while others require a reasonable level of fitness or hill experience. The requirements for each event are explained on the individual event page.
Is equipment provided?
For climbing sessions, all essential climbing equipment is provided by the organiser. For mountain days, you will need appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear unless otherwise stated.
Can family members attend?
Yes. Many events are open to veterans and their family members, including partners and children where appropriate. Any age restrictions will be listed on the event page.
What about safety and disclaimers?
Each event is run by the relevant organiser, and participants will be asked to complete any required consent or disclaimer forms before taking part.
Will there be more events in the future?
Yes. We are working to expand the programme with additional mountain days, climbing sessions, conservation projects, and larger veterans expeditions as funding and support continue to grow.
